Vishram Ghat and Evening Aarti at Banke Bihari Temple In the afternoon, visit Vishram Ghat on the banks of the Yamuna River. This serene spot is where Lord Krishna is believed to have rested after killing the tyrant Kansa. It’s an ideal place for reflection and relaxation.
After lunch, make your way to Vrindavan, just 15 km away from Mathura. Visit the Banke Bihari Temple, one of the most revered temples dedicated to Lord Krishna. The evening aarti here is a soul-stirring experience. Later, visit ISKCON Vrindavan to enjoy its peaceful ambiance before returning to Mathura for an overnight stay.
Spiritual Tour of Vrindavan and Gokul
Morning at Prem Mandir and Nidhivan After breakfast, explore Prem Mandir, a stunning marble temple in Vrindavan dedicated to Radha Krishna. Known for its intricate carvings and peaceful surroundings, this temple is a perfect start to the day.
Then, visit Nidhivan, a mysterious and sacred garden where, according to legend, Krishna performed his Ras Lila. The trees here are believed to be gopis who come alive at night, making it a fascinating place filled with spiritual energy.
Afternoon in Gokul Afterward, drive to Gokul, about 15 km from Mathura, which holds deep significance in Krishna's childhood. Visit Gokulnath Temple and Raman Reti, where Krishna played as a child. The peaceful sands of Raman Reti are said to still carry the divine energy of Krishna's presence.
Evening Aarti at Radha Raman Temple Return to Vrindavan for the evening aarti at the Radha Raman Temple. Known for its beautiful deity of Radha and Krishna, the aarti here is a deeply spiritual experience. You will return to Mathura for an overnight stay.
Goverdhan Parikrama and Barsana Pilgrimage
Morning at Goverdhan Hill Begin your day early with a visit to Goverdhan Hill, about 22 km from Mathura. This sacred hill is where Lord Krishna lifted the mountain to protect the villagers from torrential rain. Many devotees perform the Govardhan Parikrama, a circumambulation around the hill, as a form of devotion. You can either do the full or half parikrama based on your comfort. During your visit, explore Mansi Ganga and Daan Ghati Temple, significant spots connected to Krishna’s life.
Afternoon Pilgrimage to Barsana After completing your spiritual walk, head to Barsana, the birthplace of Radha, Lord Krishna’s beloved. Nandgaon Visit and Departure
Morning at Nandgaon After breakfast, drive to Nandgaon, just 8 km from Barsana. This village is where Krishna’s foster father, Nanda Maharaj, lived. Visit Nand Bhavan, the house of Nanda Maharaj, which is now a temple. Explore Pan Sarovar, a tranquil lake where Krishna would bring his cows to drink water. The calm and quiet surroundings make it a perfect spot for spiritual contemplation.
Return to Mathura After the visit to Nandgaon, return to Mathura. Depending on your departure schedule, you can spend time exploring local markets or enjoy a leisurely lunch before heading back. Finally, depart for your onward journey, concluding your spiritual exploration of these sacred towns.
